MagicBands are plastic bracelets that contain RFID radios, in use at Walt Disney World Resort. The MagicBands form the central part of the MyMagic+ experience, providing a way for the system to connect data to guests. This includes connecting park tickets, hotel room keys, payments, and PhotoPass information to the MagicBands. The bands were announced on January 7, 2013 by Tom Staggs as a part of MyMagic+. – Wikipedia

MagicBands are customizable. They will have your name you pick out and the color you want. There are multiple colors to choose from. If you do not customize, they will not have your name on the back of them and they will be grey. These bands can go on your wrist like a bracelet or you can take the puck out and purchase a keychain.
These MagicBands are the key to your room and basically everything else! Use them to ride the Magical Express, get into your resort’s pools, scan for your FastPass+ when it is time, make purchases at the parks and so much more! They come with each Magic Your Way Package or room reservation through Walt Disney World.

Each MagicBand comes with the corresponding luggage tag. These cute little luggage tags are not your official tags to put on when you use Magical Express. They are just ones that you can use at any time. I still use mine to this date!
MagicBands are waterproof too! So you do not have to worry about anything happening to it!
You can also purchase themed MagicBands at each resort, park, and on shopdisney.com. Sometimes, there will be limited/special edition bands that do special effects at the scanner to the entrance of each park.
You can also set up a pin number and your card to the bands to make purchases easier at each park!
